RPG clubs for your library
Thanks to the popularity of shows like “Stranger Things,” Dungeons & Dragons is more popular than ever. This kind of collaborative storytelling game is a perfect match for libraries. It’s also one of the best way to get kids (and adults) away from their screens and interacting face to face.
Sorry, I’m currently not taking on any Dungeon Master gigs.
An RPG is a role-playing game in which a Game Master creates a world for a group of players to have an adventure in. Each player creates her own character according to a set of rules established by the GM.
I’ve started D&D clubs at Goodnow Library in Sudbury MA and Acton Memorial Library.
I also hold a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University.
I’ve worked as a Children’s Librarian at Winchester Public Library, as a Teen Librarian at Goodnow Library, and as the Manager of the Weston Art & Innovation Center (a branch of the Weston Public Library).
